Art Project
Mark your calendars! On April 6 th, April 20 th and May 4 th Pre-schoolers through 7 th graders will experience a special art project during the Sunday school hour. On each of the Sundays a different phase of the project will be completed, so it would be great to have your children participate on each of the three Sundays. If this is not possible, they will be able to complete a version of the project if they can attend on either April 6 th or April 20 th. Parents are encouraged to participate with your children on these two Sundays. The help would be appreciated!
The project incorporates the cross and will emphasize hope through the resurrection. Each child will receive two "shadow box" wooden crosses that we will decorate. After completion, they will take one of their crosses home. They will hang their second cross in the Education Wing hallways on May 4 th during an activity designed to make this occasion memorable.
The children are asked to bring an item from home that is special to them on April 6 th to decorate the cross that they will take home with them. Items should be less than 1” wide and 3/8” thick. Examples are small special stones, charms, marbles, etc.
