Christian Education
The Christian Education Programs of NPC are overseen by the Equipping Ministry. The goal of the Equipping Ministry is to “equip the saints” of the congregation. In Paul’s second letter to Timothy 3:16-17, he tells them, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the people of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” In the case of the Church, that translates to providing Christian Education to the congregation at large.

Besides the regular classes, we provide an occasional, four week Workshop Rotations unit. These “Rotations” cycle the younger grades through a mixture of fun activities that blend scripture with various learning methods. Throughout the year the children support outreach activities such as the Heifer Project and One Great Hour of Sharing. They also have the opportunity for local mission by providing Christmas gifts for the East End Cooperative Ministry. Each year both the third and eight grade classes are presented Bibles as a gift from NPC. There is also a Children’s Music Program for pre- kindergarten through grade 6 as part of the Sunday morning experience.
Closing activities in the Arc for Pre-schoolers through 7 th graders are both exciting and meaningful. Ty Radcliff and team lead them in participative singing, special skits, and music activities. Birthdays are celebrated the first Sunday of each month and children with birthdays receive a small gift. We light the Christ candle and pray together. Parents are encouraged to come to these closing activities, too. They will be held in the Arc from 10:25 to 10:45am on March 30 th, April 13 th, and April 27 th. Rally Day will be on May 18 th in the Arc. There will be no Sunday school on May 11 th.

The service follows the adult order of worship and involves a storyteller. This worship service is designed to prepare our younger church goers for a lifelong faith journey. It uses “Young Children at Worship”, based on Montessori methodology using hallmark biblical stories
NPC LIBRARY

Walking the labyrinth is an ancient Christian spiritual tool. It is a metaphor for our spiritual journey. There are a number of ways to use the labyrinth in a spiritual way –

- Walking it in silence
- Letting all thought go
- Focusing on a problem
- Allowing God to speak to you in an image
- Lifting up a particular healing you might need
