Music at 11:00 Worship Service Our 11:00 service is traditional in style and held in the sanctuary. Usually this service features our chancel choir under the direction of Mrs. Jeanne Kane, and organist Mrs. Sylvia Andrae. A capable and committed group of vocalists, the Chancel Choir serves as NPC’s principal choir at our 11:00 service. The choir sings a variety of classic and modern choral music, rehearsing on Thursday evenings at 7:30. The Chancel Choir is open to participation by all those of high school age and up. Approximately once a month, music at this service is also provided by the Handbell Choir, guest musicians, or Newlonsburg’s own talented musicians, including brass, woodwind, string and vocal music. Also, a Youth Flute Ensemble, directed by local teacher, Dan Parasky, provides music for this service regularly. Beginning in the fall of 2007, harp students of Lucy Scandrett will share their musical gifts with us as well.
